Hello again. Thanks for stopping by to read today’s post.

I’ll bet my post title at least peaked your interest a bit.

I AM going to show you the only way I know to make $1 Million with no effort. And I don’t mean by winning the lottery, getting a big inheritance, or anything like that.

But before I reveal that, let me clear something up.

In the world of what we are doing as Internet marketers, there is no way to make ONE dollar, let alone $1 million without putting in some work. I know. I know. What about my post title? Patience, my friends. All will be revealed…8-)

I’m sure you’ve received many, many emails and promotions from various marketers who promise you can get rich almost overnight if you buy their program, training, software, etc. Even though in the back of your mind, you know that it’s not possible.

So, why do we (maybe not you, but I sure have) buy product after product that says it can do things with very little or no work on our part, when logically we know it can’t be done? Are we all naïve? I don’t think so.

I honestly feel it’s because most (again, not all) people don’t necessarily want to put in much effort, but still want to reap the rewards of gaining financial security, fame, being a success – and owning a castle, an island in the South Pacific and a Unicorn.

I’ve played guitar, been a magician and ventriloquist for over 40 years. I didn’t learn these things I wanted passionately to do overnight. It had to work at them. It took time. But it sure was worth it.

People in today’s world want instant gratification and a quick route to health, weight loss, financial, business, Internet success and on and on.

So, we want to believe it can happen. That there really is a magic bullet to achieving all we want. Fast. With minimal effort. We’re just wired that way. That’s why so many of us jump from one thing to the next when we read a great sales letter and promises about a new “thing.”

I am not saying you’re like that. You’re reading my blog so my guess is you’re more motivated than most. That you want success and are willing to work for it. But boy, that “Easy” Button sure would be nice, wouldn’t it?

Many of you have day jobs you work at, as you build your online businesses.

Look at it this way.

What’s harder? Working towards an ultimate goal of eventually having a successful online business and doing what’s necessary to get there – and once there, being able to live your dream of making a living on the Internet?

No more day job, no boss, no income limitations, no commute, eventually more free time that you control.

Or…setting your alarm clock for 6am, taking a shower, getting dressed for a job you don’t like, getting in your car in the winter when it’s 10 below zero outside, making the drive to work in all of the traffic, getting to your job where you sit at a desk all day, or work in a factory, or whatever your day job is and doing something you wish you didn’t have to do.

Then finish your 10 hour day, drive home frustrated and exhausted by the events of things that happened at work that day and arrive home only to know that you’re going to have to do it again tomorrow, the next day, and the next. And have someone else tell you how much income you’ll make, if your vacation time-off request is approved, how many sick days you are allowed and have the ability to end your employment if they decide to do so.

Sure, you can possibly work your way up the ladder at your job and make more money. But that usually means more responsibility, time and headaches – if you truly are dreaming of running a successful online business instead.

I submit to you that scenario #1, while hard, is the better alternative. Because I know what I’m working towards and what the rewards will be when I get there.

So, my advice, if you are feeling information overload about all of this Internet marketing business building stuff, is to focus on really small bites and baby steps every day. Initially work with one mentor you trust, and follow one program. Don’t keep chasing the next opportunity.

If you have a list of items that need to get done during your busy week to move you forward with your online business, just do something. Anything. Every day. Small steps. Don’t wait until the end of the week and then try to do 14 different things to get caught up. You won’t do them. It will only frustrate you and make you have doubts as to if it’s all worth it, or if it can be done at all. And you’ll get stuck, or quit.

You must get out of your comfort zone of the life you live now, if you want to succeed online.

It’s too easy and convenient to just fall back on what you’ve been doing with your life, before you became interested in Internet marketing as an alternative.

There are so many success stories of people who have crushed it with an online business that started in way more desperate situations than you will ever be in. Were they smarter than you? No. Have more talent? No. Better hair? Well, maybe, but that’s another story.

What they had was the end of the story in mind at all times as they grew their business. And then taking small steps to get there.

With each small step you complete, comes a tiny bit of satisfaction and confidence. Those feelings exponentially grow as you continue to do what you need to do to succeed. And at some point, you will say to yourself with true confidence, “I know I can do this.” And the pace of the steps will speed up as you continue learning.

Is it going to be hard? Yes, but “hard” is relative. I think working in a hot car factory, assembling doors all day (or night) is hard. Or, hard is working in a corporate environment where you deal with high level executives who want you to jump through hoops all day, putting you under a lot of pressure, to make them happy.

“Hard” as it to relates to building an online business is more about learning the tools and systems you need in place to succeed. I know I’d rather do those things.

Remember – keep the end of the story in sight! And then do just a little each day to reach the happy ending to your own dream. Ask for help from your mentor if you need guidance. True, honest and ethical online coaching entrepreneurs, who offer their training, want to see you succeed and will be more than willing to help you – if you’re putting in the effort.

Ask for help from others working on growing their own Internet marketing businesses.

That’s what I’m going to be doing. Anyone else want to join me?

Until next time.

Lee

    • Lee Great Post!

Everyone wants the magic push button solution where they can sit in there chair click the magic button and see dollar bills piling up in their account.

Alot of us get drawn to these at some point, I know I did when I first discovered the whole make money online thing. But after a while (quite a while actually :/) I realised it was all a load of fantasy rubbish.

It takes hard work, grit, determination and persistence to build a real long lasting on line business. Consistent action towards your goals is the key, if you move closer to your end goal everyday and never give up, 2 things will happen, 1 – you will get to that goal, 2 – you cannot fail as you will never give up, WIN WIN 😉

“do the things today others are not willing to do, and have the things tomorrow the things other people wont have” a quote by someone i cant remember, so I cant credit them 🙁

      Cheers

    • HI Lee,

Great Post, It is very easy to fall in the over night riches trap, I remember when I fell into it very early on in my online journey and lost a lot of money 🙁

With posts like this I thankfully realised the there is no magic button you can press to get instant riches.
